First night

Despite Jemima's extreme grumpiness (she is cold-ridden, oh, the timing), we have survived our first day. We are now recharging literally and figuratively in a French Aire (basically a scenic car park designated for motorhomes). After the obligatory first beer, tonight's menu consisted of French ham and bread (from actual France); French wine (from Waitrose); and English cheddar. I think the French/ English balance will shift over the next few days but it's a good start.
