R&R + M

A change of pace, after a busy, urban few days: a quiet, slow morning in Beatrix, then a short hop to a campsite on the coast. The plan: a day or two of rest and relaxation, beach time, and (for me), a bit of van maintenance. I've been cleaning as we go, but after nearly two weeks of full time living in close quarters, it's time for something more thorough. Woman versus sand being the crux of it.

Kevin found us a lovely campsite surrounded by mountains, close to the beach. Cheeringly, I managed check-in solely in Spanish - or rather, sign language with the odd Spanish word, but still, an improvement. And then lunch at the campsite restaurant in the sun, and the surprise of the day - the daily set menu: a choice of four starters, four mains (all in Basque and Spanish, thank goodness again for Google translate), plus bread, wine and water (a bottle of each) - €12 per person. And it was our best meal so far. We're going back tomorrow.

  1. I was going to suggest World Lens app as it translates menus via augmented reality

Only to find its incorporated in to google translate :)
