Here comes the sand

We woke to clear blue skies, and a determination to do very little except enjoy our marvellous beach-side location. But first, lured by a "beep beep", and the cry of "pane!", I made it out of bed in time to purchase from the visiting bread man. From the boot of a hatchback, smelling divine, I bought lovely bread and some excessive chocolate croissants that contained about half a jar of Nutella each - actually inedible. (Some things are best left to the French). He was followed shortly by the cheese man: home made yoghurt, butter, and of course cheese (buffalo mozzarella and goats' cheese) all made it into our fridge. And then a final visitor: the fruit and veg man. Lettuce, tomatoes, fennel, cucumber, broccoli, basil, and eggs for us. All to our door - the best service ever. And it all looked so good. (Sorry, more talk about food.)

Then onto the beach. Jemima has started enjoying yoga, so she and I had a lot of fun playing with some kiddie yoga cards. (She is hypermobile in her hips, so annoyingly is better than me at some poses.) More playing, then lunch: tomato, mozzarella and basil salad and bread, all from the visiting vans (delicious), plus some ham and other cheese. A little rest in the back bedroom, while Kevin had a bike ride, then back on the beach. Games of "let's push/ throw each other in the sea" (depending on size) were lots of fun; and Kevin constructed a sandcastle village with a river, which Jemima loved. Then finally, back to the van, for pasta carbonara and salad, and bed.

I've hoovered twice today already, and will again tomorrow morning, but the sand influx is worth the beachside fun.
